FAQ
No. If you need help managing payroll, I'd suggest one of these options:1) Outsource to a payroll specialist who invests the time to stay abreast of payroll legislation and tax compliance.2) Use a 3rd party payroll service (such as Ceridian, Payworks, or Wagepoint) and integrate it with your QuickBooks Online account. If for some reason it does not integrate, I will manually record the required payroll journal entry each pay period to keep your QuickBooks file up to date.
I use fixed-rate value pricing instead of hourly billing. For ongoing monthly bookkeeping service, you'll pay the same amount each month on the first day of that month. No surprises like with hourly billing. And while we're on the topic of pricing, you should totally book a call for a quote ☺︎
No. I will ensure your QuickBooks Online file is accurate, clean, and tax-ready; your accountant or tax preparer will handle the year-end tax preparation and filing.
No. I have structured my business to work exclusively on a remote basis using cloud accounting, which doesn't require me to be on-site.
I use Dropbox for encrypted file sharing, which features secure two-way commenting on shared files. Dropbox integrates seamlessly with Zoom if we need to jump on a video call to review shared documents. I also use QuickBooks' built-in encrypted file sharing and secure communication portal for information requests. For secure signing of online documents, I use DocuSign, and for secure password management, I use LastPass.
Yes, I only work in QBO. You are in either one of two camps:1) Current QBO User: You'll add me to your account as an 'Accountant' user by sending me an email invitation from within QuickBooks Online. I'll receive separate login credentials to your account. You'll continue to have master admin account ownership and pay your monthly subscription fee directly to Intuit.2) Not a QBO User: After a quick consultation with me to determine which QuickBooks subscription level is best for your needs, you'll sign up for an account at that level and add me as an 'Accountant' user as described above. I'll receive separate login credentials to your account, and then complete your company set-up in QuickBooks. You'll have master admin account ownership and pay your monthly subscription fee directly to Intuit.
First, you'll need to determine if it makes sense to stay in QBDT. Depending on your business type and workflows, QBDT may be the best fit for your needs. (This article will help you determine if you should migrate to QBO.) Should you decide to stay with QBDT, you'll need to find a bookkeeper that works in that platform as I work exclusively in the cloud with QBO.If you determine that it's best for your business to migrate to QBO, please note I do not perform the migration. Once you have successfully migrated to QBO and closed out your QBDT account, I can begin monthly bookkeeping services, beginning with a paid diagnostic review to assess your QBO file.
